QWAK,Somthing that many may have over looked when stocking up your SURVIVAL suplies is MEDICATIONS and ANTIBIOTICS for pets and anamals are esencialy the same ones used for PEOPLE just a lot CHEEPER and no perscription needed!

If you live near a farming aeria you may want to check out a vetenary suply store. I give my dogs all their shots and vacinations and save a lot that way but I also can get meds cheeply too. Yesterday I picked up a couple 6 oz bags of TERRAMYCIN (oxytetracycline HCL) $5.00 each! I hate to IMAGIN how much 1/2 oz in capsuels from a people pharmacy would cost me today but the truth is "oxytetracycline HCL" is "oxytetracycline HCL" be it for people or animals and there are many other meds that will help you stock your emergency supply kits that you can buy CHEEP at a VET supply store!:beer:

Some times thinking UNCONVENTIONAL is realy THINKING and being CONVENTIONAL is NOT THINKING at all, just PAYING a lot MORE for a LOT LESS!:wavey:

We stock not only the TERRAMYCIN powder, which is great for open cuts that animals get, but aqueous penicillin for injection, which is also commonly availiable at vet supply places, or you can order most of this online:

One caution on the use of Tetracycline based meds (Achromycin, Sumycin, Terramycin ) is that you DO NOT give it to children under the age of 8 or so except as a last resort.....it will permanently stain and soften their adult teeth when the come in......I am a living testimony to the fact this wasn't widely known in the 50's.

QWAK,Andy in Nam you could tell the kids that the medics had given the stuff to because they had black teeth!

The stuff I picked up was esencialy sold for chickens and hogs etc.and is water soluable to be added to their daily water supply.
